About You:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. If you have a strong background in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders and a commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, we would love to hear from you. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for
enabling people with disabilities to live their best lives.
Requirements:
- Experience in the field is desirable (2 years minimum), but new graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Sound experience in assessing and treating speech/language and swallowing difficulties and disorders.
- Ability to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (NPC).
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech/language and swallowing or mealtime skills.
- Develop individualised therapy plans to address communication challenges.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and techniques.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to optimize communication skills.
- Provide education and support to clients and their support network.
